Portrait Photography.... I've lights but have to know how to start?

Hi, I'm attempting to try portrait photography and handled to acquire some equipment. The gear is: 2 x Bip constant fluorescent lamps, 2 x portaflash 336vm modelling (expensive and continuous) lamps, 2 x portaflash (small lamps) 2 x umbrellas, 1 x reflector in addition to a sky patterned backdrop.
