slr photography guide
May be the Nikon D60 really much better than my Powershot?

I've been utilizing a Canon Powershot sx0is with 20x zoom and 10 mega-pixels, and like it, but am prepared to move onto SLR photography. However, my finances are VERY tight and so i haven't really even considered the potential of purchasing in the near future. However, my pal just upgraded in the Nikon D60 and agreed to market it in my experience at 1/2 the cost of the items she taken care of it 24 months ago. It's who is fit and she or he will allow me to use her book by David Busch that's an extensive help guide to SLR photography using the D60. Appears just like a no-brainer in my experience, with the exception that I've been utilizing it on the trial foundation for the a week ago and also have observed that my pictures aren't just like individuals taken using the compact digital. Is because I simply don't yet understand how to make use of a Digital slr? Must I wait to purchase a much better Digital slr, or would I be best obtaining the used camera along with a new expensive and prime lens (I wouldn't have the ability to afford extra contacts basically purchase a more costly and new camera).

Thanks!

A Nikon D60 is an extremely nice camera. It is also said to be a person-friendly, entry-level Digital slr too! Have you been failing to remember these things?

1. May be the lens clean?

2. May be the sensor clean? With Digital slr cameras, the sensor should be washed, this is accomplished by getting rid of the lens and putting it in sensor cleaning mode within the menus.

3. With many Digital slr cameras, there's no autofocus motor, meaning you need to focus your images by hand. There must be two rings about the lens you are able to turn: the first is wider, and it is for zooming. Another is thinner, it's for modifying the main focus.

4. Look at your configurations. If you are taking photos in low light with no high ISO, you will get bad images. If you are taking photos inside having a really small F-stop, you will need to widen it, maybe to F2.8 approximately.

Use these pointers, and trying. A Digital slr should provide you with a picture which is way better than the usual compact digital, as lengthy you may already know using one well.
