My daughter ordered a wedding cake for 125 guests. At the time 10 guests responded?
so I asked her husband if I could help by inviting people she knows he said yes. I spent on invitations and sent them out. She wants me to do flowers, favors, music and photography.Now my daughter says they have 30 response ( does not want more guests) and angry I invited other people. So far 5 guests responded from my side. What should I do? Her 10th Wedding Anniversary celebration is on 02/13/2010 Buffet style.
First off, Jade's answer was rubbish. You should have talked to both of them, but it is not just your daughter's day. Her husband has a say as well. Now, I would talk to your daughter and let her know that she should have objected in the first place and since you forked over the money it is rude for her to have been okay with it in the first place and then changed her mind. However, it is also rude to un-invite people. The two of you, together, should be able to come up with a compromise of some sort.
