What's an excellent camera for low light photography?
I curently have a Fujifilm Finepix F10. I have been happy by using it since it rises 1600 ISO and can take pictures as much as just a few seconds. Still, at 1600 ISO it's bad image quality. I wish to take pictures in low light with results better still than human vision. Clearly, I am taking about nonflash pictures. I'd like to have the ability to take several pictures second continuously if at all possible (not really a low resolution video setting). I have seen digital SLRs which go as much as 3200 ISO. Are these worthwhile?
You've already got the very best compact digicam to do the job, even though more recent F30 has about 1/3 to at least oneOr2 stop better noise performance, therefore the ISO 800 is almost clean.
But-lacking a Digital slr, the F30 is just like it will get for any compact digicam. If you are planning Digital slr- something similar to a Canon 30D having a vibrant prime lens can't be beat for low noise high ISO. The ISO 800 is almost clean (and works at ISO1000), and also the ISO1600 is damn decent (and works at ISO 2000). If money's and problem, I am sure you are able to get a 20D for much less and it is an outstanding camera with similar image quality. You simply obtain a more compact LCD.
