I'm a veteran graphic artist from Sri Lanka, that has inherited my creative talent and adoration for art from birth. Gone were the times after i attempted to change my ideas into artistic expressions by utilizing tiresome modes of styles, tools and methods available at that time. In 1959 I acquired Distinction in Art in the G.C.E. Regular Level Exam, without ever getting adopted art classes during my school. Like a kid I developed my latent creative talent not led by a skill teacher, but reading through books on art and toiling over my artwork with pastel, pencil, brush, water colors and oil fresh paint.

After departing school in 1960, I'd only two fields to select for any career in art: &nbspfine arts and commercial art. I decided commercial art and accordingly became a member of a number one advertising agency in Colombo to peruse my career like a commercial artist. In those days graphic art wasn't within the terminology of art. From artist's desk towards the print shop ended by hand, using hrs at work.
