Commerical photography some good equipment?

I hae my own business online in vintage clothing. I work with models. Now I dont have the best of the best equipment and it is starting to show in my work esp now that my business is getting better.

I recommend the Canon 40D (or the 50D soon to be released) sold at Costco for about $1300 with a single lens. Once you become familiar with the Camera you will begin making a list of the lenses to add later on depending on your style

Get a set of external light modifiers. I recommend the Sigma 500 series flash at about $210 is cheaper than Canon's, the Adorama Budget Studio Monolight Flash with a snoot and soft box for about $100. Or you can try the one of Gary Fong's attachments for your flash.

That is equipment though. You still might have to figure out how to work the light angles and intensity
