Pulp Fiction to Film Noir: The Great Depression and the Development of a Genre
Pulp Fiction to Film Noir: The Great Depression and the Development of a Genre

i'm 29.a visual artist. feeling like a loser?
I live in Alexandria, Egypt. I had an accident a year ago that made me stay as home for 8 month after 2 surgeries which caused my being away from the life out there.i feel like a loser in a community that is full of many people who work hand crafts but very awful and not artistic at all and they actually sell... those people make judgments that depresses me, i make jewelry, i paint, i make manual photography, sometimes i coordinate artistic workshops in a very depressing place that has never satisfied me. and i have taken a role in a short fiction film and was nominated to the best actress award, but i still feel like A LOSER .... beginning to lose my confidence, what to do to get over that feeling and be able to live between that community?
It sounds to me like you are not a quitter. You are making small steps toward fulfilling a role in life that could be better than you could ever imagine. A best actress award? No it sounds like you are fashioning something out of your life.
Take heart little one. Stay humble and do not be arrogant. Life will reward you in kind. There are many instances in life where famous people were famous not because of what they did in life. But it's what they did not or could not do in their earlier lives before destiny turned them into great people.
But the secret to adversity is to keep you humble and not be proud. Always.
And then you can always get back to what you wanted to do in life later.
I hope the link below helps. I added it to my favorites just because of your great question. Take care and blessings to you!

Fantasy fills this collection with magic. These pieces are an emotional stew of melancholic prose, frivolity, sexuality, and love. Intoxicating and hypnotic this will bring you courage even if you are not gay. Adults and Children are all welcome into my imaginary castle built of words.... |

Fiction in the Age of Photography: The Legacy of British Realism $28.47 Victorians were fascinated with how accurately photography could copy people, the places they inhabited, and the objects surrounding them. Much more important, however, is the way in which Victorian people, places, and things came to resemble photographs. In this provocative study of British realism, Nancy Armstrong explains how fiction entered into a relationship with the new popular art of pho... |
