How could I make homemade handheld reflectors for portrait photography?

I've learned about using handheld reflectors with portrait photography outdoors. How could I make these, and what kind of shape and size whenever they be?

Making reflectors is fairly simple to do. Only use some aluminum foil (slightly crinkled) and tape it to a bit of foam core poster board.

Or you should use more inticate shiny foil from art supply store, gold is great for portraits since it gives skin a pleasant glow.

A different way to get it done is by using among individuals silver vehicle sunshades from auto store.

For shape and size, I usually just made square ones, those I have observed in store though were usually round, prob very little harder to create round I suppose. Size will rely on kind of photos- closer in portraits perhaps a feet . 5 across, for full lenth portrait maybe use like 24" poster board or something like that?
