Photography guide & Good camera...?

I have lately been considering developing my photography skill. Can anybody let me know a great digital photgraphy guide for any beginner? Just generally, nothing specified.

I'd like to understand the camera you believe is better. Mostly it's for landscapes, such as the beach and stuff.
