My Minolta Maxxum 5 camera continues to be stopped. Should i have a more recent one if I wish to have more add-ons?
I am a novice digital photographer I have had my Minolta for nearly four years now, and that i like it. But I wish to delve more into photography, and I am concerned that add-ons I'll need (lens filters, remote controls, etc.) will not be accessible--I have spent an hour or so scrounging the net, and they are already harder to locate. I understand I'll have to transition eventually, and that i guess I'd rather get it done before I purchase lots of costly gear. But I am a university student, and so i do not have lots of cash to utilize. Can you recommend purchasing a brand new camera now, or waiting? Should you choose think I ought to purchase a new camera now, what brands/models are you able to suggest that can give me quality shots without coming my budget? Are their good websites I can turn to for cameras and photography gear? (BTW, Let me stay with film cameras, not digital.) Thanks!!
i am not necessarily sure what the issue is. filters are usually functional on any lens using the right size threads regardless of who causes it to be, and so i don't really begin to see the problem about acquiring add-ons.
if you want your minolta i'd hold onto it until you have more cash. maybe upgrade to some nikon or canon - you are able to come on nice film physiques for affordable since everybody is certainly going digital. should you wait a few years they will be even cheaper...
one camera that involves thoughts are the nikon n90. it was once nikon's top quality consumer camera and price over 1000 dollars. you can now acquire one (used obviously) for $200-$300
